* What happened to the STP?
After nine years finally the Stone Temple Pilots released a new album. The successor of Shangri-La, namesake, is good, but not excited.
If this work STP produce great guitar solos, it would not be exaggeration to think or even say that we are hearing the Velvet Revolver, the band of which Scott Weiland (vocals) took part in recent years.
12 songs are lively, simple and short. Only two tracks exceed four minutes in duration. Weiland's voice is a little different, where are those inspired interpretations of Creep, Plush or Wonderful? It all sounds very unwillingly.
The sixth disc of STP, which came out on the 25th of last month by Atlantic Records is just bureaucratic . Nothing explains that one of best on the album is Samba Song, a leftover from Shangri-La.
Scott Weiland, Dean DeLeo (guitar), Robert DeLeo (bass) and Eric Kretz (drums) recorded good songs, but might well have been getting one in your corner. Would save me from disappointment . Listen
Maver, last band Stone Temple Pilots.
