and jazz songs have gained a refined air, imagine how it would hear Iron Maiden, Slayer and Megadeth versions of flamenco music, with all those fingerings sensational and the beating of castanets.
Heavy Mellow is the third disc Flametal , released independently in May. As the name explains, the group led guitarist Benjamin Woods combines in his compositions the weight of heavy metal with bravura technique and flamenco.
In the first two albums Flametal , recorded in 2005 and 2008, Woods decided to bet on own material. The work was well accepted but did not reach the desired effect. Perhaps this is why the eminent guitarist turned his attention to the readings in order to get more attention specialized media.
Despite being technically perfect, is not the kind of music we can listen anytime, every day. It is better for the character unusual and curious to hear how themes Gates of Babylon (Rainbow), Bark at the Moon (Ozzy), Sails of Charon (Scorpions) and many others in the flamenco guitar. Listen
